Message from the Chairperson’s

The topic ‘Stroke & AI 2025’ is very timely for discussion in current comprehensive stroke care, and I thank the organisers, particularly, Dr Biplab Das for selecting this topic. Like many other fields where AI (Artificial Intelligence) is provoking discussions, the filed of stroke is increasingly stirring participants of workshops and conferences to discuss how AI is going to affect the management of patients with stroke.

Questions are asked? Can it take up the role of radiologists in diagnosing disabling stroke requiring thrombolysis, or large artery occlusion (I don’t know why people use the word ‘large vessel occlusion’ when all the time they mean artery) requiring thrombectomy. Will it reduce ‘door to needle’ or ‘door-to-puncture’ time and so on? Will it improve outcomes? And so on.

Well, as Ajit Issa writes: “For more than two hundred years, each wave of new technology and innovation has carried with it a familiar fear that machines would take away people’s livelihoods. During the Industrial Revolution, the mechanization of textile and manufacturing triggered fears of ‘technological unemployment’. This panic even gave rise to the famous Luddite movement in England, where textile workers destroyed looms, they thought would make their jobs obsolete.” In fact, industrialization generated vast new opportunities. Similarly, I don’t think that AI would make the jobs of radiologists obsolete. Rather it will open new opportunities for them as well as neurologists in way that we cannot imagine now.

Will AI improve outcomes? It may, but to examine this properly, we would need randomized controlled trials comparing stroke outcomes in AI-enabled stroke care facilities to the conventional ones. Obviously, cluster randomized trial with facility as a ‘cluster’ unit will be more practical than randomizing individual patients. AI-enabling will be done to those facilities randomized to intervention arm.

We need to prepare ourselves for such a trial. This conference is being organized by the “We Care Stroke” serves as a forum to discuss such a trial and discuss how well can we use the AI to improve the fate of patients with stroke. I hope the participants will have academically enriching and socially enjoyable experience. I wish this conference, “Stroke & AI 2025” a resounding success.

Message from the Organizing Secretary

Dear Colleagues,
Greetings ..

On behalf of the Organising Committee, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to the “Stroke & AI 2025” -13th -14th December, a unique academic gathering dedicated to exploring the transformative role of artificial intelligence in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of stroke.

This conference will bring together leading experts in neurology, neurointervention, neurosurgeon, data science, and artificial intelligence to share insights, foster collaborations, and discuss the future of stroke care in the era of digital medicine.

We look forward to your active participation, thought-provoking discussions, and valuable contributions that will make this event a success.

Date: 13th & 14th December 2025

We Care Stroke

The We Care Stroke is a stroke support organisation primarily engaged in stroke survivor’s care and guidance; we partner with the community to prevent, treat and beat stroke. We look forward to stand alongside stroke survivors, stroke caregivers, and their families. We engage with community stroke awareness campaign, associated with healthcare professionals and researchers; although our predominant non-clinical support is to help stroke survivors on their journey to live the best possible life after stroke. We associate with other stroke care establishments to facilitate comprehensive post-hospital stroke care and innovation in newer stroke management.

We work to:

  • Raise awareness how to recognise stroke warning signs early
  • Helping for early stroke care and reaching stroke care centre within golden time
  • Raise stroke awareness among people regarding stroke risk factors and promote healthy lifestyles
  • Improve available and reachable stroke treatment for stroke to save lives and reduce disability
  • Improve life after stroke for survivor
  • Engage in comprehensive stroke rehabilitation program
  • Encourage and facilitate stroke research
  • Help, support, cheering up and engage in different social media interaction for stroke care provider and stroke survivors
  • Raise funds from the interested individual, community, corporate sector and government to continue our mission
